(More customer reviews)While the rack is exactly as described and looks good, don't buy it to hold your expensive knives.I attached the rack to the side of a heavy duty, very expensive butcher block.I had my knife handles pointing straight up.The block sits against a wall. Each knife has a slightly different steel content and some "stick" less than others.All three of my $100-140 chef knives have fallen to the floor as I barely brushed them reaching for other knives on the rack.Two now have bent tips and the third knife's tip was broken off as it hit the floor.Each fall chipped my travertine floor. Good knives are hefty and if the handle is not straight up or down (depending on how you are using the rack) they will not stay on the rack as the knife's center of gravity is off and the knife will fall off the rack. This might not be an issue if the rack is mounted on a wall, but in my situation it would have been ideal if the handles could have been slightly slanted toward me for easier grasping.No such luck. I've put all the knives back in the knife block. And will pay a pretty penny to get my floor repaired.
