(More customer reviews)I ordered two of these, and just put them up today. After reading other reviews of magnetic knife holders, it's clear that the main complaints are 1) the magnet is either too strong or not strong enough, and 2) some of them are just too flimsy.
This knife holder is perfect in every respect. Both the body andthe mounting brackets are made from very heavy-gage stainless steel. It is easy to mount, easy to clean, and the magnet seems to be just the right strength, which is critically important. Either too strong or too weak would be flat-out dangerous!
Figure that the 15-inch model will hold 6 to 8 knives, depending on the size of the knives and how far apart you like them.
